[Photo] Samsung executives sign pledge prohibiting orders for illegal activity

Samsung Electronics executives have signed a pledge to comply with South Korean laws and regulations when carrying out their executive duties. On Jan. 13, Samsung Electronics President Kim Hyun-suk, Vice Chairman Kim Ki-nam, and Koh Dong-jin, head of mobile communications, signed a pledge promising to conduct business within the law at Samsung’s Suwon headquarters in Gyeonggi Province. Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, however, did not show up to the event, although a company insider informed that Hankyoreh that it’s likely he provided an electronic signature to the same pledge.
